A heartwarming rescue story unfolds as a dog suffering from leishmaniasis, a severe parasitic disease affecting the skin, mucous membranes, and internal organs, finds a new chance at life.
When the poor animal’s concerned owner realized the dog’s condition was deteriorating rapidly, they sought assistance from a rescue team experienced in treating such cases.
The odds seemed slim, but leaving the dog in its current state would have spelled certain death. So, one of the team members decided to take the determined little canine under their care.
Upon returning to the team, the dog displayed a gentle demeanor and even began eating, offering hope despite the significant toll the parasites had taken on its body. To aid its recovery, the team mixed worm medicine with the dog’s food.
